Solicitation

Image of beer foam in a pint glass, seen looking through the glass. The woman on the phone claims she is saving children. “Do you know these people?” she says. “All are drunk drivers. These are their dead.”

“Tell the truth,” she says. “You’ve driven drunk. No, you don’t have to answer, but aren’t you someone who’s avoided tragedy by luck?”

“Listen, I finished my drink and began to drive, radio loud. The dark had a scent like sweat; the light was everlasting. Don’t hang up. You’ve fathered three children. Where are they now? Tell me you didn’t think this call, so late, would begin with one or the other or the other?”

I like this. Love dark had a scent like sweat. I am having trouble with the punctuation in the third section however. I have a feeling it’s missing some quotation marks.
