The weight of a human head is about that of a medium-sized watermelon

Image of an empty shopping cart in a wet paved area.Mine has a tendency to wobble off centre so it’s easiest to manage when removed, like that Barbie doll with her striped rollneck too tight to fit until her head popped off. I carry my head in a cloth bag printed with the name of a museum I never went to. Even then, the straps cut into my fingers so that at the supermarket yesterday, my head full of angst for a crumbling world, I placed it in the shopping cart and it was only halfway home that I realised my mistake, that I learnt you’ll-miss-it-when-it’s-gone does not always apply.
